After her conversation with Teddy, Victoire was back to slowly pacing around the room, her hand on her lower back now.
"Salut, maman," said Victoire, and she shook her head. "No, you can come in. I'm just trying to walk her out. I don't think it's working." She started to ask how her mother had handled it and if she had any tips, but of course this version of her mother hadn't had any children yet. Victoire bit her lip. Neither had Teddy's mum. Lily had, and that was a help, but it was still gut-wrenching. This wasn't how she'd planned for all of this to happen. Not in the least.
