He nodded. "Our timing wasn't that great, but..." A wistful smile appeared on his face. "Worth it." He only had a short time with his baby and while he regretted leaving him without his parents, Remus could not say he'd take back their whirlwind marriage and pregnancy. It had been all too brief, but the happiest he had ever been. He had been a bloody coward sometimes, but it was still all worth it. "Ah, it does change some things, but...honestly, sweetheart, I am grateful to have any time here at all. I cannot be picky regarding who is here and what age." He shrugged his slender shoulders. Maybe that is why age bothered him less than others. He knew the people were more important than a number. "I mean, look at us, sitting here talking..." His eyes brimmed with tears. "I am sorry." He waved his hand and wiped at his eyes. "I am a silly man sometimes, you should know that."
