"A camera?" That surprised her, but it shouldn't have, she realised. Everything modern that was commonplace to her was completely foreign to the founders. "I could teach you a few of the basics about technology, if you'd like. Nothing overwhelming, but a few things that might make your life...maybe not easier, but colourful?"
She shook her head, smiling. "Your English is wonderful. Was the language all that different back then?" It must have been, but it hadn't occurred to her that it would have been. "Do the other founders have the same difficulty? How long have you been here?"
She tucked her hair behind her ear and sipped her tea, watching him over the rim. She still hadn't completely digested the fact that this was the real Godric Gryffindor, but here he was, sitting in front of her, talking as if they were friends. It was mind-blowing.
"Your sister? You have a sister? Was she here?" she said. "I--" She hesitated. "I was married back in my time, and my husband's here, but he's with someone else. So it was a bit of a shock. This is a nice distraction. Not that I mean you're just a distraction, but - it's nice having a friendly conversation that isn't another reminder. So, thank you. For meeting me."
