Truth be told, Justin missed Ernie just as much. Though he had pulled away from the wizarding world after the war, he still kept in touch with a few people, mostly fellow Hufflepuffs. Sometimes he thought about actually visiting his friends more often than he did, instead of having a majority of his contact be through correspondence. He missed seeing their faces. Now, here in the village, it seemed face time with his friends was unavoidable. He was glad about that. He needed to stop hiding.
After taking a brief tour of his house and chatting with his roommate for a few minutes, Justin headed off to see Ernie as promised. Although he had started out his trek at a leisurely stroll, his pace quickened the closer he got to Ernie's house. He was more excited to see his best mate than he realised. He could see Ernie and his two puppies waiting for him on the front porch as he approached. Breaking out into a grin, Justin called out, "Oi! Long time, no see."
