The moment she spotted Teddy, Victoire knew something was wrong. It wasn't until he was much closer that she saw the scars, and she paled. Her heart started to pound as she saw each nervous tick, and she forced herself to breathe in and out slowly, trying to calm herself down. All of the shocks today had brought couldn't have been healthy for the baby, but she'd wanted to see Teddy first before asking after a healer.
"Teddy?" she said softly, making no move to stand. She pulled the blanket a little tighter around her shoulders. "What happened to you? You look--" She swallowed. He looked like her Teddy. He moved like her Teddy. But there was something off. "You look different."
She shook her head, trying to shake herself out of it. He was still Teddy. he'd just been here for a while, that was all, even though she was still trying to wrap her head around how he could have possibly been here and back home with her at the same time. "I'm - it's a lot," she managed. "A lot more than I ever expected today. What's going on?"
