Vogg nodded excitedly when Rolf explained that he was referring to a different book. Vogg wasn’t a particularly smart man, and he knew it, but he was always interested in looking into something new. The fact that he didn’t risk a limb to look at the book of Rolf’s father was definitely an added benefit.
Vogg took the piece of paper as if it were something to be cherished. He stared at it before carefully tucking it into his belt. “I have appreciation.” Vogg said slowly, tripping slightly over the last word, but not losing his childlike amusement at the whole situation. “Your grandfather and father were animals studiers as well?” He asked with a tilt of the head, “You must make your ancestors very proud.”
