“People do.” Vogg shrugged. He knew that no one ever meant any harm by it, of course, but because there were so many things he was unfamiliar with, and because often found himself easily swept up in the excitement of new things, people found it amusing to lead him down the wrong path.
“Kelpies.” Vogg repeated to himself, a few times to get the word down and committed to his memory. He looked up again at Rolf with a large grin. “I’ve heard of a book that attacks people, several people here talk about using it in school. Is this the book I should be looking for?” It was the only book he’d heard about when referring to magical creatures, and while he wasn’t afraid of the book, he was certainly hesitant about it.
