Rolf had decided to do some stargazing the night before, and was so fascinated with the many differences he found that he completely lost track of time. As always, he had to admit to himself. The consequence, of course, is that as soon as Rolf found himself back home, he threw himself on the bed, falling asleep immediately - and so, as the pounding on the door woke him up, his clothes were rather crumpled and looked shabbier and more dazed than usual.
"All right, I'm coming," he grumbled as he dragged himself towards the door.
When he opened it, it took a second to realize he was face to face with a complete stranger, as big as one of his German relatives. Come to think of it, he could very well be one. You never knew, in this village.
"Hello," he said, yawning. He could have tried starting in German, but he was just too sleepy to think of the right words. "You a Kästner?"
