"The probably felt like they had to be hard on you to prepare you for exams," Helga said reassuringly. "Which I am not sure I approve of, but I suppose with so many people being educated they could no longer rely on individual references for everything. Still, it seems like an undue amount of pressure to put on children. I cannot see Godric performing well in such circumstances, and yet I can think of few professions I would not trust him to perform admirably in if he put his mind to them."
The differences in their times were fascinating to Helga, and she could usually see strengths and weaknesses in both approaches.
