Ever since she saw Michael again her world came crashing down. She barely spoke much after she lefty is company. A huge part of her wanted to just stay with him, but she never had been good enough for him had she? She replayed slapping him over and over again in her mind and wished she'd handled things different. Even though people had spoken to her after seeing him, she could barely focus on it. She felt like she was living in a different world and she wanted to go back in time, or forward.
Anything would be easier than feeling as though her heart was breaking all over again. She'd spent the night curled up on her bed sobbing. She was sure her housemate noticed but even if she asked, Summer didn't register it and would have answered with mutters and half sentences. It wouldn't be the normal Summer who would stop and pay attention. She felt like she went back to that place when she called muggle hospitals and searched for Michael before realizing he had left her.
Her body was shaking. She'd been here for months and had started to be okay without June being around, but at that moment she felt she wasn't going to survive without her sister. Her sister got her through everything with Michael. Now, without her sister, Summer felt helpless. She'd considered reaching out to a handful of people but she couldn't get herself to reach out. It was too hard for her to even put into words how she was feeling.
After a sleepless night she was up at 4am. It was still dark out, and the dogs were fast a sleep at the end of her bed. Sitting up she felt the throat of tears, but her eyes were to worn out to even shed a single tear. "Come on." She muttered as she tossed the blankets off. Hopping out of bed she slipped on her slippers. Feeling lost, she grabbed a sweater. Slipping on the small comfort it felt itchy instead of warm. Blue eyes looking out the window begging for the stinging to go away.
She didn't even bother changing, instead she grabbed her coat, kicked off the slippers pulling boats on and getting the leash for the puppy. Bob stayed close no matter what. Summer was careful to be quiet leaving the house. She open and shut the front door with little to no sound. The crisp air sending shivers down her body, Summer ignored all of it as she headed straight out of the village and into the forest. She needed to get away, but where could she go?
Summer couldn't just vanish and leave behind people who she was there for, who she had promised she'd be there. She could however disappear for a day. Just one day. She walked around, no direction, no goal until she finally slumped down against a rather large tree. Bob and puppy curled up close to her as she wrapped her arms around her knees, her chin resting on one of her knees. Summer had to pull herself together but she wasn't even sure how.
