He looked up a bit then. He couldn't help wondering what life would have been like if this grandmother lived. He was self-aware enough to realize one link changed in a chain of events could alter life. If Lily lived, perhaps Harry would never marry Ginny and Al wouldn't be born. However, he preferred another fantasy...a fantasy in which Harry still married Ginny, but he had his Potter grandparents at home too. A boy could dream, right? Would that grandmother be as patient and kind as this one currently was? It made Alby's heart ached thinking on it.
"Dad always said fearing a name means fearing the thing itself. I thought wizards made magic bad, not the other way." He shrugged. "I still think that really. I just think the magic is so powerful that the wizard needs to be bigger than it. I am not. I bet Dad is."
