Albus worried about his grandfather's reaction too. He hoped he was at The Pitch and not waiting to give him an earful. Al still didn't think he was wrong to think magic was only as good as the wizard behind it, but he acknowledged darker magic required a stronger soul. He was disappointed that he wasn't better at the magic; it definitely controlled Al and not the other way around.
