Colin's excitement was practically tangible. It had Dennis smiling, really smiling, as a result. "Yeah. Yeah it would. I think that would be brilliant. I'll show you how to use it." What a turn around that was! "This town sure lucked out, having you as the photographer." he said earnestly. He had always been Colin's biggest fan. Everything Colin did was met with Dennis' approval back home. From his schoolwork to his photography, Colin was the absolute best as far as Dennis was concerned and that held true, perhaps even more so now that he had seven years to elevate his brother to hero status.
"There might be a way to transfer it by magic." Dennis agreed softly, thoughtfully. It would be nice to have a computer to show Colin the programs that existed to alter and enhance pictures, but that didn't seem to be in the cards. Researching with Colin would probably be even more fun though. Dennis had always loved their trips to the library at school. Sometimes he still picked out books based on what he thought Colin would like."I vote for the library." he agreed with a curt nod, pressing his palm flat to his name on his forearm before dropping it. All of his security blankets tied to his brother. The thick script of Colin's name and handwriting on his arm, the camera around his neck, he even had a couple of articles of his clothing back home, though they didn't really fit anymore.
The mention of their parents had his eyes widening, unable to stop himself from wondering when their Dad had been brought here from. Was it before or (...) after? Had he told Colin anything? How bad things got even as the rest of the world picked itself up? Dennis never wanted Colin to know. He already knew about Mungo's but not the specifics. He would not tell him the trouble he had gotten into. "Dad would like it here. I'm glad he got to see it at least. What year was he from?" That was a safe way to ask without asking, though Colin's giggling certainly tore him from such dark thoughts. Colin had always been able to do that. "You have to show me all of them! I'll have to build mine up. Do they have a camera store here or are they just mixed in with other stuff? I'm glad I have this one with me." he said, stroking the old camera around his neck with a smile. "Sometimes old cameras are the best, even when the lenses start too go because they let in splinters of light that overexpose the pictures but in a good way. Interesting. Like fingerprints." Dennis might had taken up photography because of Colin, but he failed to realize just how much he had truly grown into it sometimes.
