Colin stopped moving again to pull his brother into another tight hug. It was a little different now, being that Dennis hung over him, but Colin didn’t care. He squeezed a bit tighter. “hey, I’m here now, alright? And I’m not going to go anywhere, I promise you. I’ve been here for two years now, last month. I’m not going to up and leave you, not now. Not ever again, okay?” He didn’t know how to reassure him that things were going to be okay, but he was going to. He was going to fix all of Dennis problems, just like he had before. He was going to prove that this was real, and that they could have a good life here, and that everyone was okay.
“I don’t care if you’re hungry, you look like a stick. So cheeseburgers it is.” He teased just softly. He shifted a bit, when Dennis grabbed his wrist, to grab his hand and give his brother a reassuring squeeze. “I am super real, Denny.” He told him gently. “I’m so real that I make Pinocchio jealous with how real I am. We’re going to go back to my house okay? I live with Cedric, and you can stay with us for forever, if you’d like. He wont mind, and I definitely don’t mind. Kirk might be jealous though. He’s a dog. I just bought him. He’s very fluffy.” There were so many things he wanted to tell Dennis, he wanted him to meet all the friends he’d made in the village and love them all just like he did. He wanted Dennis to see all the photos he’d taken, and go see some of the stores. But most importantly, more than anything else in the world, he just wanted to see Dennis smile.
