Once again Caradoc was left floundering. Oh, he was left in such a state surprisingly often all things considered, but it seemed to happen even more often around Petunia. Something about her constantly derailed his thoughts and left him gaping at her like a fish out of water. Had he done something wrong? Her surprise seemed to indicate as much. He had crossed a line, hadn't he? Caradoc's mind worked, trying to pull apart the webs and tangles cluttering it in order to come up with a proper response. It sparked something inside Caradoc that he'd been trying to tamp down ever since he realized he had feelings for Petunia. It was warm and wonderful and had Caradoc pulling her closer before his mind caught up with him. Pulling back just as quickly as he had leaned in, he blinked owlishly, mouth working to come up with something to say as he looked at her. "I- I- I, um- I'm-" he tried, clearing his throat as his cheeks burned and he let her go and took a step back. "I'm sorry- I just-"
