Petunia curled against him and moved to wrap her arms around his waist. She didn't feel special. That much was sure. She felt like she was just a girl with less than her sister. She'd focused so hard on being normal, that she hadn't stopped to think about the rest of it. She just couldn't seem to stop crying. But Caradoc was pressing little kisses to her head and it distracted her just enough. She knew he'd done it once before, but it was strange.
Lily had said that he liked her, but that couldn't be the truth. Even if the kisses might have proven otherwise. Maybe he just saw her as a sibling or something. People did that with siblings. She buried her face against his neck, drawing in a shaky breath. "I'm sorry. I- I don't even- I must look terrible. I'm sorry." Though, the last one was for the crying.
