As soon as the door opened, Caradoc felt himself relax ever so slightly. There she was, Petunia Evans, in one piece. Logically, he knew that she was fine because she had assured him as such. Even Teddy had said that she was fine save a few scrapes here and there. After all, it was Teddy who had taken the bludger to his body, not Petunia. He ought to be panicking and running to him, but his feelings for Teddy were obviously much different from his feelings for Petunia. He was certainly concerned for Remus' son, but it did not compare to the urge that had arisen in him as soon as he heard that Petunia had been hurt. He barely even heard her words, too busy checking her over for injury. Stepping through the door, he did not move into the room, but instead closed the space between them to take her face between his hands. Tilting her head gently from side to side to make sure there weren't any visible injuries, he was relieved to find none. However there were a few noticeable scrapes and bruises on her arm that had him frowning before he pulled her gently against him.
"I'm so sorry. I should have come with you. Bludgers always get away. S'why I used to watch from the grounds. Well, that and because I used to try to figure out the physics of it but physics failed to take Quidditch into consideration." Even in situations like this, Caradoc was still prone to rambling. In fact, if anything his nerves made him ramble even more. Sighing in relief, he pulled back just a bit, cupping her cheek in his hand with a small smile. "I'm glad you're alright. I wouldn't know what to do if- if something happened to you-" his thoughts were all incomplete as he scanned her face once more, before settling on another small smile to finish it up.
