Alphard was impossibly grateful that they had worked through everything they had to between them. To get back to playful banter was refreshing, though sometimes his playful banter came with a flirtacious edge to it. He would have to work really hard on that to make sure he didn't put Remus in that position though, everything considered, he reckoned it would be rather difficult. Alphard was almost positive that this soft spot he held for Remus would worsen with time, but it needn't become a problem. He was certain of it.
Returning his laugh with one of his own, Alphard shook his head, pushing a stray lock from his face before replying. "Doubtful. Very doubtful." he insisted with a crooked smile. "I know myself quite well and I'm almost positive that that will never come to pass. Trust me on this." his smile was cheeky as he finally put down the mug of tea that he had been holding almost like a security blanket. Finally feeling well enough to eat, he followed Remus' lead by popping a few chips into his mouth. And, wow, that was good. He'd have to go to wherever Remus had picked this up from more often instead of melting things in the microwave. Humming appreciatively, he said "Thanks again, for lunch. I owe you a meal, yeah? Where did you stop to get this? I should probably eat more take out then hoping the microwave will sufficiently cook whatever I put in there." It was really becoming an issue. Hopefully Sirius wouldn't kick him out for it.
