After all Alphard revealed, Remus owed the man his secret so he did not regret telling him. Sometimes it was exhausting keeping the secret and there did not seem much point in the small village anyway. Besides, Remus lost friends due to keeping his condition under wraps in the past. He wanted to avoid that here if possible.
He cleared his throat. "I know the potion was at play, but I like to think you knew, even under the influence, that you could trust me. You deserve to be happy, you know, even if your sister is here and may not approve." He moved so that he could grip Alphard's shoulder. "I hope she is learning from her future so she won't repeat her mistakes here. Even if she doesn't? It is her loss. You should not have to hide who you are, especially from family." Remus thought of how scared he had been to admit his condition to his friends back in the day. "James and Sirius and..." He bit back Peter's name. "I found those who supported me no matter what and you should get that here." Alphard deserved love too, but Remus couldn't quite say that. he refused to think on why those words wouldn't come.
