The potion Remus spoke of was definitely not around in his time. Werewolves had no rights really, at least from what he was taught. He was glad to hear that things had moved forward enough to the point that they were actively looking for ways to help people with the lycanthropic condition though.
Alphard only nodded at first, before saying "People rarely think of the situations of others. It's what perpetuates ignorance. It's unfortunate you had to face such prejudice, but I'm glad the world moves forward enough that it actually develops a potion to help." Taking a sip of tea then, he decided to add "Thank you for trusting me enough to tell me something to personal, Remus. I know quite well that telling others things that are not always accepted can be quite difficult. So ... thank you." Alphard smiled, hesitating for another moment before feeling the need to return his admission with. "I'm gay. You know that- but I've never- said it out loud? Which is strange to think, isn't it? 28 and I've never-" Stopping once more, he sucked in a breath before letting out a nervous chuckle. "We all have our secrets.. I'm sort of glad you know mine."
