Remus frowned as he watched his friend's features tense. He could tell Alphard's mind wandered somewhere else for a moment, but he did not press. It was not his place. If Alphard wanted to talk about it, he knew how to find Remus. The old professor only hoped Alphard knew he could be trusted.
"Ah, yes, in my time, I am married." He placed his dish, still filled with most of lunch, on the desk he sat near. "Nymphadora Tonks, but call her Tonks if you value your life." He chuckled as he thought on it. "I have a wonderful son too. His name is Theodore Lupin. Teddy." Pride crept into his voice. "We...Tonks and I...we did not get to see him grow up. We both were killed during the war. He was still an infant." He took a deep, shuddering breath and glanced away so Alphard wouldn't notice him blink back tears. He looked back toward his companion when he had a grip. "She does not remember even dating me. We have been..." He didn't know if they were technically together here. "We've been out a few times here and I love her." He cleared his throat. Merlin, it was hard. "It would not be your fault, but mine," he continued. "Alphard, you did not make me do anything I didn't want."
