"I'm much more frightening than Lily." Caradoc protested in a boastful tone, puffing his chest out as if to prove his point. Of course, it deflated five seconds later with the memory of the past few days. He didn't frown per say, but he didn't smile either. As soon as she was through the door, Caradoc closed it and slid an arm around her shoulders in an attempt to comfort her. "It's all okay now though. It is." he murmured in response.
Then they were moving on though, to less serious topics of conversation and Caradoc was scrambling for something witty to say to make her smile. Of course, he couldn't think of it because her hair smelt like some sort of delicious fruit and her shoulders were so warm beneath his arm and damn it all to hell if being this close to her wasn't distracting. When he finally did manage to find his voice, it was him stuttering out an "Uh- yeah-" before he realized how pathetic that sounded and let out a small laugh. "Believe me, I'm steering clear. What do you say to sandwiches though?" he quirked an eyebrow, slowly starting to move towards the kitchen with his arm snugly around her.
