"I don't even know most of them. Harry, Hermione, and Ron had the most interaction with him." Parvati laughed a little. "But I'll try to think of one really hard to tell you about. I'll make sure it's the funniest one I know." Which was hard because most of the Draco memories she could pick out were the ones where she wanted to punch him in the face. She never did that, though. Probably for the best.
Parvati couldn't say she knew for sure about it, but the fact that Alphard had seemed utterly unperturbed by the fact that he'd snogged Professor Lupin, seemed to make her think it was and he'd nearly choked when she mentioned other things. Plus, there'd always been a sort of something that she could never explain, but she liked to think of it as being slightly more in tune with people. She didn't know much of what he kept to himself, but she liked Alphard and that was enough of a reason to let him know that she was there for him if he wanted to be himself. He didn't have to duck behind corners or masks or anything, really. She gave him a quick smile when he replied. "Good. I'm absolutely excellent at talking, but Padma's made me pretty good at listening, too. We sort of balance each other out. I remind her to smell the flowers and she reminds me not to be too...too childish, I suppose. A little more quiet." She laughed at the story about getting stuck in a tree, though. That was sort of funny. "I've never been stuck in a tree. It sounds troublesome."
Though Parvati knew that it probably was laughing to keep from hurting, she smiled at his words. "What a life we might have had. I'm sure my mother wouldn't have known what to do about her small daughter making friends with a member of the Black family. But then you'd probably have gotten all caught up in the war business and I'd have gone off to fight and you'd have had an attack from worry and it would be all too terrible to deal with." Especially when Lavender very nearly died. She couldn't have added to it. Instead of thinking on that, she took a long sip from her glass. "It would seem we cannot win out there. Lucky we have here."
