"Ah. Do you come from a family who believes strongly in arranged marriages then?" he asked, quirking a brow and hoping desperately that she wasn't. He had seen what arranged marriage was like first hand. The effect it had on his sister was not something he could easily miss and though he had two wonderful nephews to boast from the arrangement, nephews he would not give up for all the world, he wished for his sister's happiness. He would hate the think of the same fate befalling his new friend. "I got out of it when my siblings were married and my parents realized I was impossible." he said with a crooked smile. It really was a miracle he had gotten out of that spot of trouble. Most people didn't. Thank heavens for Walburga and Cygnus.
Laughing at her comment about his nephew though, he raised a brow. "What does that mean? Does my darling nephew display traits better suited for other houses?" Draco certainly seemed to possess as much bravery as a Gryffindor, as much cleverness of a Ravenclaw, and as much kindness of a Hufflepuff. Perhaps he was just an exceptionally cunning and driven boy and therefore was sorted into Slytherin.
The sobering topic of the war dimmed his smile though and he found himself nodding along to what she said. "Well, I'm glad for it as well. Otherwise you wouldn't be here with me and that would truly be a tragedy." he replied with a nod and another smile. Her chosen profession was certainly impressivand it drew such a look from him. "Merlin, seriously, remind me never to piss you off, yeah? I'm not very good at running and hiding. Crinkles the clothes and such. Assume I'm always innocent and can do no wrong so you never come after me."
