"Well, it all started the term before Fred's and my last year," George said with a wry grin as he shrugged his coat on to the back of his chair. He went on to explain what had happened the summer before, with the Triwizard Tournament and its fateful end. From there he went on to explain how Umbridge essentially took over the castle and polluted the classrooms with either propaganda or, in the case of Defense class, utterly useless rubbish. It was a simple route, then, to talking about the formation and function of Dumbledore's Army.
"We wanted to fight back. To get something real out of our time there. Freddy and I ended up not staying the full year -- we went out with a bang. Literally." He grinned. "But when the war came to the castle, those coins I mentioned before? We used them to communicate. The DA -- well, most of it -- came together again to fight. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were on the run just before that, but my sister Ginny and her friends Luna and Neville had taken charge of it."
