It had been an extremely long day for Emmeline, which was obvious from the yawns she tried to stifle every few minutes. Not only was she physically tired, but mentally she was exhausted. Speaking and writing to so many people from her past who were deceased was overwhelming. Yes, she was thrilled they were alive and well here, but it was also difficult for her because she'd already made her peace with them being gone. She was trying to take Susan's advice, though, and not think too much about it and just enjoy their presence in her life again. She felt like she was finally starting to understand a little about the village she had found herself in this morning, although the specifics of how it was even able to exist in the first place still baffled her. That was a mystery for another day, though.
As she exited the bookstore, she unfolded and checked her map again. One she'd seen the layout, she realised it wasn't all that complex. All the shoppes and buildings were on the west side, all the housing was on the east, a river ran through the middle, and a forest and mountains surrounded the town. The Weasley twins' headquarters was the last building on the road, so if she headed west and followed the winding path through town, she should be there in a few minutes. Remembering her promise to George that she would let him know when she was on her way, she opened her journal and jotted a quick note to him.
The trip took her a bit longer than she intended, since she stopped to look at each of the shoppes as she passed them. She made a note of the ones she wanted to go back and visit another day. Pretty soon, however, she found herself standing in front of her destination. Shifting the book she'd purchased — The Art of Massage — and her journal to her left arm, she reached her right hand out and knocked on the door.
