Though the storm brewing outside looked like it was going to be a doozie, Minerva was glad for the break in her everyday monotony. After spending so many days holed up in her room, the draw of watching a winter storm finally managed to pull her from her cocoon of blankets. She knew that her brooding would do nothing to remedy how she felt, but she couldn't help it. She knew Dougal wouldn't want this for her, but he wasn't here and that was the problem. He wasn't here. She had always known it was a possibility. People went home at random in this place. Their time here was not guaranteed. If she could just remember this place, that would comfort her. But she wouldn't. Dougal wouldn't either. Dougal had already forgotten this and her and everything they'd shared in this place. Listening to old, sappy records was doing little to pull her mind from such an awful thing. It was time to start pushing forward, she was just having trouble doing it. The only person she had even seen since Dougal's disappearance was Godric because, to be honest, he was the only person she really wanted to see. Of everyone here, she knew he would understand. Not to mention, prior to the sudden influx of people coming and then going, she had spent most of her time with him. Godric's presence was just ... comforting in a way she couldn't describe.
It was why she was only too happy to accept his offer to go for a walk. Minerva was, quite honestly, miserable at the moment. Left to her own devices, her mind wandered and reminisced which led her down a rather depressing path. She had to pull herself from it and this was the best way she could think of. Tucking her journal away as soon as they'd agreed on a meeting place she bundled up in Dougal's shirt and her own winter gear before leaving her home behind. It was quite cold out, the wind bitter and biting as she made her way through the falling snow to the castle. It took her a bit longer than it would usually to get there and by the time she did, her loose hair was dusted with the white flakes as she peered up at the castle trying to find Godric.
