"You are looking very lovely tonight," Salazar told her with a small smile. Ever since he could remember, his mother had always told him to compliment women, and even though he didn't always do it, he did it when he felt they deserved it. Salazar offered her his arm - another thing his mother taught him - and then began walking out of the residential area of the village, towards where the shops and restaurants were. He briefly wished he had chosen to pick her up on horseback. Salazar worried that in her dress she would get too cold.
"So," he said after a few moments, "Do you want to tell me why you feel you are not yourself?"
