"I don't choose to leave, you make me!" Alphard shouted angrily in reply, his temper reaching its boiling point in the wake of Walburga's shouting. It wasn't fair. She was getting angry with him for something she had done, or would do. Fucking hell, this future business made everything a million times more complicated. As it stood though, he would be abandoned. His sister would disown him and his nephew. Alphard briefly wondered if he had ever tried to consul his nephew about the importance of keeping opposing opinions and dispositions to yourself in their family. Sirius clearly hadn't listened if he had and Alphard couldn't really fault him. Sometimes being a Black was suffocating ... but to lose so much.
"You take away my family, Walburga! You throw me out! You blast me off the bloody tree so future generations will have absolutely no idea who I am! I won't get to meet any of their children. I won't get to know Narcissa's son because you have a temper tantrum! That's what isn't fair! You rip me from our family is what's not fair!" he shouted, grabbing for the bottle of scotch with a snarl and taking a long pull from it. "I can't- you just- I can't be here." he snapped, making for the coat rack and the door. He couldn't breathe in here. It felt like he was drowning. Where had all the air gone?
