"Oh, okay," Gabrielle replied, her tone a mixture of disappointment and relief. "It's probably for the best anyway. Right now, at least," she decided. Although the prospect of having her own family here seemed like fun, it would probably end up being more awkward than anything.
She considered Fleur's offer for a second, before shaking her head. "No, I think I'll wait. I kind of like it being a mystery. It's almost like a book, actually. If you skip right to the end and find out what happens, then when you go back and read from the beginning, it's not quite as enjoyable." If some of her future family ended up coming here, that was fantastic. If not, that was okay, too. Then, remembering that some people, including her sister, didn't have the option of waiting and finding out their futures in due time, she quickly looked down. "Sorry, I didn't mean... well, I know you didn't really have a choice."
Gabrielle smiled at her sister. "Yeah, I know. Thanks, Fleur." She gave Fleur another hug, once again grateful to have her there.
