After promising Fleur that she would stay put, Gabrielle had kept her word. Mostly. She was intrigued by this strange little village and her curiosity had gotten the better of her. She'd strolled a little farther up Park Avenue so she could see down a street that was connected to it. The sign told her it was Quills Street, and it seemed to be lined with houses. One of them was probably hers.
Before she had time to go and inspect, she heard Fleur calling her. Hurrying back onto Park Avenue, she smiled for the first time since she'd arrived. Fleur reached her and pulled her into a hug, and Gabrielle hugged her sister back just as tightly. "Yes, yes, I'm fine," she assured Fleur. "I'm glad you're here, too." Gabrielle wouldn't have handled being all alone very well, she didn't think. In fact, she wouldn't have been surprised if she'd had a complete meltdown.
"Is -- who else is here?" she asked. Did she dare to hope that there would be more people she knew?
