"It's a fragile little soul, attached to an even weaker little heart. It needs care and attention to really thrive. And ice cream." He really wasn't that sold on ice cream, it just had that whole date quality to it, which was why he had mentioned in jokingly the night before. "Oh, Lorcan, you absolute tease. Two straws! How scandelous."
He liked how easy it was to joke around with Lorcan. He joked around with everyone, but most things just seemed easier with him. Joking, making him angry, getting Kirley to blush, it was all almost effortless. He didn't notice as Lorcan didn't look up as they past his house, too busy feeling awkward. That came easy too. Thankfully, Lorcan was talking again.
Kirley nodded and looked back over at Lorcan, giving another little smile. He really did feel awkward, though he would do his best not to show it. "And I was serious too. Well, kind of. I do sort of want to know your favorite color and your favorite type of music." He was pretty sure what kind of music Lorcan liked most, but he wanted to hear it from him, silly as that was. "Your favorite drink on a cold night or a hot day. Stupid little things someone should know after being together for a year."
