As Remus turned away to order, Lucius took the opportunity to drink deeply from his own glass. He shouldn't be here. Why had he agreed to it? No, why had he suggested it? This was a folly of his own making. His own bed to lie in. He was feeling bad enough as it was, why must he exacerbate it? He eyed his companion carefully, wondering if the same thoughts were crossing his mind. At least he was returning the civility.
