Remus was sorry to see Narcissa go, not because he particularly liked her, but because dealing with her seemed much more tolerable than interacting with Lucius. He may have believed in letting the village be a fresh start, but it was still difficult to reconcile having a drink with someone he once wanted to see in Azkaban. Perhaps dealing with an older, post second war Lucius would have been easier, but Remus didn't have that luxury. He knew his son, technical "wife", and various Potter-Weasleys liked Draco and his offspring. For that, he'd make an effort if only to keep Lucius from having some counter-effect on the boy. He knew he wasn't giving Draco enough credit, but fathers had a hold on their sons. Remus knew that well.
He arrived when he said and made his way to Lucius. "Evening, Mr. Malfoy." He didn't incline his head or even offer a hand. Pleasantries were stupid in this case. Maybe one day, but not yet.
