Kirley cocked a grin when he noticed Lorcan staring for longer then he should have. He would have offered up some comment about blood being tastier when it was fresh and still warm, but Lorcan's movements stopped him. Kirley backed himself against the wall and cringed when Lorcan reached for the light.
"I'm sorry." Well, he wasn't terribly sorry, but he did sound paniced at the thought that Lorcan would turn off the lights on him, especially with the door already closed. Dealing with that would have been a lot worse for the both of them. Kirley would have turned into a mess. "I'm sorry." He sounded a little more sincere the second time, though not any less panicked
He pushed Lorcan away from him and the light switch, shivering just a little. "And that's mean. I never lied, I said it was for you. That would have just been plain cruel." Though it probably would have helped keep Kirley away for a while.
