It was strange hearing that Roger was in the village, she hadn't seen him yet, but it was a huge piece of home that she'd seriously been missing. He'd always been there, her whole life. Even when they had a bit of a tiff during school when Gryffindor pretty much crushed Ravenclaw into the ground. They both got over it and remand really tight. Having him here meant maybe things would get a little bit better.
Als wasn't going to lie, this wasn't exactly her idea of the best time in the world. The village was fine, but George and she barely talked anymore. When she was looking for understanding he kept thinking she wanted him to apologies which just made things awkward and Alicia was too stubborn to do anything about it now anyways. That chapter had sailed. She wasn't happy about it, but what could she do about it now? They didn't even feel like they were friends anymore. At least back in the real world she and George were still friends.
Pushing the thought of George out of her mind she thought about Roger, about how both of their parents thought they'd be the ones that ended up together. The thought always made Alicia laugh, they were best friends, almost sibling like, not romantic. Besides it turned out Roger married Padma Patil. Alicia smiled thinking about when Roger told her that he was dating her. She wasn't the type that she really saw Roger with, but he seemed really happy, clearly he was happy. Now older and married. This was going to be interesting.
Alicia had invited Roger to come stop by the vineyard earlier that morning by owling over a letter. Oi! Roger, you're coming to the vineyard, around 11,11:30. " Perhaps it lacked a little bit of an invite part to her wording... She owed him a drink and she really just wanted to see how he'd aged, curiosity always got the better of her.
