Who: Rowena Ravenclaw and [OPEN] What: She’s trapped by Mistletoe Where: anywhere between the bookstore and the castle When: The evening.
On cold nights, Rowena didn’t typically venture out of her cozy castle. Of course, the cold had been persistent, and she’d been pent up in her marvelous home for longer than she’d liked to have, especially since lessons had been ended for the holiday season. That being said, she’d graded any of the spare papers she’d had from before the break, and run through quite a few of the books she’d compiled for her to-do list.
So, she pulled on a shawl, charmed a cloak with a warming spell to keep her toasty as she strolled through the darkening village. She’d had a destination in mind, and was more than happy to loose herself amongst the stacks of bindings in Bookends. By the end of it, she’d left with three or four different selections in her satchel.
She was leafing through a bigger one as she walked, unaware of the mischievous mistletoe until it had frozen her in place as she passed under a tree. It was there, hidden way up in one of the branches to catch unsuspecting travelers. She’d read about them on the journals, stopping people until they shared a kiss. Rowena was unconvinced.
She sent spell after spell at her foul plant, for what was likely half an hour, slipping into her native tongue as she vented her frustrations into the air. Giving up, momentarily, she leaned against a tree and lit her wand with a simple wave, letting herself become distracted by the words on the page.
