He was here. Roger was here. Padma was looking at his handwriting in her journal as her heart started to race. The last time she'd seen him was right before his accident and here he was. The number of dreams she'd had about seeing him again were countless. the number of times she'd seen him in her dreams, hugged him only to wake up and realize that none of it was real. She couldn't stand the thought of this being another one of those cases. She'd seen other people writing to him, but it didn't change the fear and excitement in her.
She looked into the mirror where she caught sight of their rings hanging off the chain they had been on now for practically two years. She quickly took it off slipping her rings onto her finger. She looked at them as tears threatened to break out. She tucked his ring into her pocket before running her fingers through her hair. Leaving the house she shared with her sister, Padma headed straight to the cafe. Padma didn't notice a single thing as she walked. She had a one track mind at that moment.
As she reached the door she placed her fingers on the door handle pausing trying to prepare herself. Pulling the door open carefully her eyes spreading across the room she spotted him. His ring safely on his hand. "Roger." She whispered as tears uncontrollably started to slip from her eyes. She didn't waste time as she headed towards him. If she managed to make it through the hug it was going to be real. Her arms wrapped around him quickly as she felt like her whole world was crashing and coming back all at the same time.
