Romilda found that even though she was doing her best to be open minded and friendly toward everyone she still felt like an outsider. She didn't have the family here that everyone else did nor the friends from school that others seemed to have connected with. As she cleared the the upper pasture to make it a more pleasant place to roam and she'd watched the brush pile grow Romilda thought she'd found the perfect way to get the others in her age group together. She spent so much time after school here at the barns taking care of the horses that she didn't get the luxury of going to hang out that some of the others had. Not that she minded taking care of the horses, she absolutely loved them. It was just that not everyone found the barn to be their cup of tea.
When the idea hit she'd been super excited about it. She'd even reached out to make sure there would be something interesting to drink in case anyone wanted to break loose for the night. After school, she'd stopped by Sweet Eats and picked up several pastries and some candy so there was stuff to eat. She'd even made sure to pick up some chocolate and graham crackers for Cressida. At least the girls had seemed excited about the evening, Charlie Weasley on the other hand...
She hoped he didn't ruin the evening for her. She hadn't meant to be short with him, but his lack of enthusiasm about the night when it was something she was excited about rubbed her the wrong way. Add to that the fact that there were so many from different times with different experiences and backgrounds Romilda was beginning to wonder if this had been a good idea afterall
