With his arm around her shoulders, Trish's wrapped around his waist. A smile began to tug at her lips. It was the thing that Trish really always appreciated about their relationship. Even as friends it was easy. There was a sincere affection between them that never went away, even if they'd stopped dating years ago.
"No future is a piece of cake, and everybody reacts differently." Trish said, squeezing him gently. "It's easy enough for me, I'm already in it. If I were in your place, I think I would rebel against it, too." Who wouldn't rebel against the idea of losing family if they had a choice?
