Who: Lily and James What: Some needed happiness. Where: Their cabin When: Evening on Wednesday night. Rating: TBD
Lily's mind had been going a mile a minute since something hit her during her lunch break at work today. Something which, given the circumstances, she was surprised even made sense to her. Things were mad now and any hint of goodness would be worth having. She just couldn't believe how much she had lost track of time. She blamed the change in days when they arrived and having to get a new pattern figured out.
But there was no denying it now. She was most definitely late. She had been due, if those constant calculations were right, back near the end of October. October here, that was. At first she had thought nothing of it. She had to have just gotten it all wrong. So once she had finished her shift she peaked in to see if anyone in the maternity ward was available to do a quick test for her.
She was right in thinking what she had.
She spent the walk home in a daze and forgot that she had promised to pick up food for them. James refused to let her cook every few days and today was one of them so she was meant to get something. She had a feeling he would forgive her when he got home. Once she was home she, as always, washed up and changed then waited on the couch for him. Only she couldn't stay sitting and soon found herself pacing.
