"It feels a bit wrong, cheating death like this," he admitted. "It's like a stay of execution, which is a blessing, obviously. I just... need a little bit of closure before then." He chuckled. "Maybe leaning more toward a lot than a little. I'm not ready to let go any time soon."
He was glad for the change of subject. Talking about his death was understandably uncomfortable for him. "There is. Or. Was? So many people have left that I don't think there's anyone to run it anymore." He offered her a small smile. "But you do have a bank account, yes. Skeeter set that up so that we'd be able to work and pay for food and so forth."
