Bill was surprised by the sound of someone shouting. He was usually on his own for the majority of the day. He didn't immediately recognize the voice of the woman was calling. In fact, it wasn't even until he around the corner and saw Dominique standing near the front, that he realized it was his second daughter.
He froze for a moment, because he hadn't seen her in about two years, and was utterly shocked to see her there. There was only a second when he didn't know what to do, but then he was smiling broadly, crossing the room to where she was.
"Dominique," Bill said, moving to hug her tightly. He couldn't even begin to say how happy he was to see her. He loved his daughters so much, and was overwhelmed and overjoyed to find that Dominique was also back in the village.
