Author’s Notes: Written for
night_childe25 for her birthday. She requested Severus saves Harry from the Dursleys. My original idea was extremely angsty and very canon. I have wanted to explore some aspects of canon for some time, so most of those ideas got incorporated into this story. This story is full of introspective Snape.However, she requested a mostly happy ending, so I'm giving her one of those, too. The ending is completely open to the reader’s interpretation. You can interpret it as a parental relationship, a friendship, pre-slash, whatever you want.
