Denizens of Merlin's Island of Misfit Myths (andtheband) wrote in forgotten_ooc, |
If I may, we will saunter into another AU, one in which this went down FG style and led to serious accidents, rioting, looting and general chaos in the darkness as the darker half of every pantheon took the impetus and ran with it. Italy has its own gods and goddesses, just as the United States does. It remembers the old stories much more keenly than its silly younger sibling across the sea manages: new gods are fewer, old gods are stronger. Khaos howled with glee as the blackout intensified, heard Erebos' laughing response from everywhere and nowhere as it melted into the atmosphere and joined its shadow child, its perfect firstborn. It was the work of a few hours of mindless mayhem to ensure that the blackout would endure, spread. And spread it did. Khaos' attention did not turn to Ereshkigal until the death tolls began to mount. They were not deaths that belonged to its stately lady friend, but they were deaths nonetheless and if it could offer this whole days-long night of chaos and carnage to her then it would go to one knee and scatter it at her feet like dying roses, white stained rich red-brown.
