Achilles: B and Achilles/Helen: C Achilles - B 1. He likes to talk big (not completely my cannon) but since he is the speech giver in the Iliad, I took that and ran with it a little, so that he sounds as important as he thinks of himself. 2. There is a ring I’ve given him that he’s always worn, from Ancient times to now. It is something that I think reflects his inner strength, is his symbol of ‘the lion’ and represents his Myrmidons. 3. Though the PTSD/Vietnam war correlation has been tied in before, books have been written about it as far as the Iliad goes and that tie in, it’s a completely new thing for me and has given the most back story to a character than I’ve ever had before. At first it was only his tie in to how he came over, but the more I researched I really wanted to tie it into his character. 4. He’s not the big drinker. He will occasionally, when he’s feeling social (which sometimes just doesn’t happen), so that may be very un-Greek-like of him but I felt it tied into the fact that he will not use anything as a crutch for any of his stresses. 5. His sense of humor. It’s odd, but it does strike sometimes when he’s not being such a prick. 6. Not completely cannon either, but I always like to tie something back into the original character. In Achilles’ case he still has that weak heel, except there is a big bruise and a scar that marks the spot so that it’s never forgotten to him. He also suffers from tendinitis.
Achilles/Helen - C 1. Dione (Girls name, Greek for Divine considering both Helen and Achilles are demi-gods) 2. After a fancy photoshoot in the middle of nowhere, a long night of talking and a few drinks. 3.Odette Yustman - has her mother's hair and prettiness, her father's chin and strong eyes! Huzzah! 4. Has her father's arrogance, is quick to rile; likes old photographs; and is a flirt with the boys (like mother?)
