There was answer to Heimdall’s inquiry. The house was dark, save for the light at the end of the hallway.
Huginn had remained comfortably perched on the watchman’s shoulder during the walk back. He could have flown ahead but the truth was he liked Dally’s company. In fact he down right preferred it. The bird had lapsed into a rare and comfortable silence for most of the journey, one that he decided to break.
“Take your shoes off and go into the liiiiiiiiight.” The raven drawled and flew off down the hall.
“…what did you do to your hair?” Odin offered in way of greeting when Heimdall eventually followed the bird and stepped into the study.
