Everybody's speaking, but you don't know what they're saying
Who: Sif (mountain_ashes) & Sigyn (victorious_girl)
What: Chance encounter of two people who haven't seen or spoken since forever.
Where: Manhattan, NYC
When: Saturday morning
Warnings: None
The younger clients the firm Sif worked for catered to, the ones who were still attending school and had their parents' ambitions on top of their own to shoulder, didn't always remember that not everybody worked on weekends. A desperate phone call had woken her and drawn her out of a warm bed into the busy streets of Manhattan, towards a small café where she spent two hours of her morning listening to a teenage boy rant about too high expectations and how he didn't think he could ever live up to the image his parents had of him.
Sif listened patiently, soothed frazzled nerves and sent the boy home with the recommendation to enjoy the weekend and let his worries rest until Monday. When she stepped onto the street again, a glimpse of gold passing by stopped her dead in her tracks. It wasn't just any other blonde, no. This was ancient gold, the kind one didn't see anymore these days because people stopped believing a long time ago and barely remembered them.
Shouldering her bag, the Norse goddess followed the familiar sight.
"Sigyn?"
