It was so nice to get a break from the hustle and bustle that was NYU. Leto had been working almost nonstop for over a month, even over the weekends when she should have been relaxing and catching up on sleep. The closer the school year had gotten the busier she was. That was the downside to working for a university. That wasn't to say she didn't enjoy it; she just liked the occasional break. Even the Monday before she had gone in to work. So getting away today was a nice change of pace and scenery.
The park usually presented itself with plenty of opportunity to sit back and relax, or else to find something fun to do. Had she been more outgoing with strangers she would have joined in the game of ultimate Frisbee she passed on her way to the zoo.
The zoo. A place she so often visited simply to see things that weren't people. Yet there were usually so many mortals there anyway. It was bittersweet in a way. The birds were always her favorite exhibit, which was where she had found herself after nearly half an hour walking around. She was watching a Blue-Gray Tanager when she felt something that wasn't human, which caused her to glance in the direction she felt this power. Though she felt it coming closer she did not recognize it and looked back toward the birds. By then the little Blue-Gray Tanager had flown to another part of the exhibit. While she felt momentarily as though she had lost something, her mind wandered to the being she felt. Whether it was friend or foe, she had no idea. It felt familiar, but that could mean any number of Titan relatives. Any Greek, at that. Outside of them she knew only humans, so her curiosity grew.
