Heathens were unstable. That did not necessarily mean that those Samael associated himself with were any more stable - it was just a statement that many might find challenging to disprove. He stood motionless in the Virtue's living room, inches in front of the window, eyes scanning the apartment.
The stoic expression gave away nothing, even if the angel should have been perturbed. But overwhelming on the weak and preying on the innocent were nothing new in the world of man.
"I can help," he eventually said, broken glass crushed beneath the sole of his shoe as he took a step forward. It was an offer, not a demand, because he could offer many, many things to those who had the ability to choose what they wanted and do what they thought was best for themselves.
Samael was not here as an angel of death, but he could assist. He could not heal - the number of those who could truly heal, Samael could count on the fingers on one hand - but he could stop the bleeding and repair the bones, flesh and skin. He could make it appear as if nothing had happened, but he knew that wounds cut much deeper than the false perfection of surface appearances.
